Hong Kong Cardinal Joseph Zen revealed to UcaNews.com (November 9), that Chinese priests “have cried” to him because they were told by State officials to join the Communist State church because Pope Francis has signed a deal with the regime.
According to Zen some priests have gone into hiding after the agreement “because they do not know what to do.” As the deal is secret, “they do not know if what [the Communist] officials say is true or not.”
Therefore, two weeks ago, Zen went to Rome and handed to Pope Francis a seven-page letter which contains information about the Chinese Catholic Church which is forced to live in the underground.
Zen called Vatican secretary of State Pietro Parolin who is responsible for the controversial deal “very experienced”. He believes that Parolin sees the “China’s ugly face” and “does not trust the Chinese side.“
“He only uses them to achieve the purpose of establishing diplomatic relations.”
[However, so far, the Chinese Communists have used the Vatican, not the other way around.]

El cardenal de Hong Kong, Joseph Zen, reveló el 9 de noviembre a UcaNewscom que sacerdotes chinos “lloraron” con él, porque funcionarios estatales les dijeron que se unan a la Iglesia estatal comunista, porque el papa Francisco firmó un acuerdo con el régimen.
Según Zen, algunos sacerdotes fueron a ocultarse después del acuerdo, “porque no saben qué hacer”. Como el acuerdo es secreto, “no saben si lo que los funcionarios [comunistas] dicen es verdad o no”.
En consecuencia, hace dos semanas, Zen fue a Roma y le entregó al papa Francisco una carta de 7 páginas, la cual contiene información sobre la Iglesia Católica China que es obligada a vivir en la clandestinidad.
Zen llamó “muy experimentado” al secretario de Estado del Vaticano, el cardenal Pietro Parolin, quien es responsable del controvertido acuerdo. Él cree que Parolin ve el “rostro horrible de China” y “no confía en el lado chino”.
“Él los utiliza solamente para lograr el objetivo de establecer relaciones diplomáticas”.
